Once you arrive, a shuttle from Orlando Airport to Merritt Island takes about 54 minutes, making it a convenient option for your journey. Alternatively, you can consider flying into Melbourne Airport (MLB), located 30.8 miles from Merritt Island, for a shorter trip. If you prefer driving, the area is easily accessible via major highways from nearby cities

Check-in is typically at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. If you need to adjust these times, please contact us in advance to see if we can accommodate your request.

Yes, the vacation home has high-speed internet and Wi-Fi access throughout the property, so you can stay connected during your stay.

Our vacation home includes a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, a private pool, outdoor grilling area, beach towels, and all necessary linens. We also provide complimentary toiletries and a starter supply of household essentials.

Yes, there are several grocery stores, local markets, and restaurants within a short distance from the vacation home. You can find both casual dining options and upscale restaurants offering local seafood and international cuisine.

Merritt Island offers a variety of activities including deep-sea fishing, boating, kayaking, exploring nature trails and reserves, and visiting amazing locations such as the Kennedy Space Center and Cocoa Beach!

Yes, there are several local shops and resorts where you can rent equipment for snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, and other water sports. Some also offer guided tours and lessons.

There are several rental car agencies around the area, as well as taxis and shuttles!  For exploring the waters, consider renting a boat or booking a guided tour.

Yes, it’s important to be aware of local boating regulations, weather conditions, and tidal patterns. Charts and maps are recommended for navigation, and it’s advised to check with local authorities or rental services for any specific requirements.

In the event of a medical emergency, we are in close proximity to Merritt Island Medfast Urgent Care. For more serious conditions, transport to nearby hospitals in Cape Canaveral or North Merritt Island may be necessary. Always carry your insurance information and emergency contact numbers with you.

Important Information

To ensure both parties are fully covered, everyone who will access our property must be included as a registered guest, whether visiting or staying.  You’ll find that our max cap is 6 persons at any given time, so you may not have more than 6 persons on our property, not even for a visit.

 

  • Absolutely NO SMOKING is allowed inside.  There is an ash tray for use on the patio. Make sure to keep patio door closed if smoking on patio.  You will be charged for any damage to patio furniture or cushions due to cigarette burns.
  • No guests allowed other than those on your rental request. Please provide names as I have to report them to the HOA office. Anyone not on the list will not be allowed access to the resort.
  • DO NOT LEAVE DOORS OPEN, not even to step outside for a short time.  Make sure doors are kept closed at all times. Open and close doors with door handles. DO NOT kick open or closed.
  • All televisions are smart tv’s so you can login to your Netflix, or to any other streaming app on the television for which you have an account for.
  • Do not sit on any indoor furniture or beds with wet swimsuits, towels, or clothing.
  • Do not try to open the cabinets and closets with locks on them.  These contain personal items.
  • Do not burn candles of any kind inside.  Only battery operated candles are allowed.
  • NO PETS are allowed.
  • Please remove your shoes/sandals upon entering.  NO SHOES OR SANDALS ARE TO BE WORN INSIDE.
  • Do not take any indoor furniture outside.  Do not bring any outdoor furniture inside.
  • If needed, there is a vacuum in one of the bedroom closets and a broom and dustpan is located inside the laundry closet.
  • The trash bin is located outside the front door and to the left. Take trash out to the bin as needed.  There are a few trash bags under the sink.
  • Do not leave windows and patio doors open unless there are screens on them and you shut off the central air unit.  If you do not shut off the central air conditioning it will create condensation in the vents, which will cause drywall damage.  Please close windows and doors when running the central air.  The thermostat is located on the wall in the hallway leading to the master bedroom. You will not be able to turn the AC down below 72 degrees.  Contact me if the temperature is not comfortable for you. We have found that 72 degrees is perfect for most guests.
  • There are washers and dryers for your use in the garage.  You must bring your own laundry detergent and dryer sheets.  The detergent must be high efficiency (HE) pods.  Do not use liquid detergent or powder detergent. 
  • Do not rinse sea shells or anything from outdoors in the sinks or bathtubs.  The sand and debris will plug up the plumbing.
  • Do not allow children to jump on any beds, couches, or other furniture.
  • Please do not use decorative pillows in bedrooms and living room for sleeping pillows.
  • You will be charged for items missing or damaged from our condominium.  Inventory has been taken of all items.
